INTRODUCTION:

Solar Tracking system is ideal for the installation of solar energy devices in industrial sites with limited power supply, military outposts, isolated islands or underdeveloped villages in remote areas as well as for various solar power stations. Besides being used in solar electric panels, the inclusion of this solar tracker system will also enhance the performance of solar light concentrators for thermal-electricity generation.

MAIN COMPONENTS AND FUNCTIONS:

  • Azimuth Detector:

Functions: During the day it measures precisely the angle of incidence of solar light on the PV panels throughout the course of the sun movement. The visual field of view is 195° and the accuracy is within ±1°. The technical standards achieved by this detector are among the global leaders in the industry.

  • Solar Tracking Controller:

Functions: Based on the input data from the Sun Azimuth Detector, the controller monitors and controls the movement of the solar electric panels in increment steps to keep it perpendicular to the sunlight at all time to achieve maximum solar light harvest. It is specially designed to dramatically lower the energy cost during the track and move operation, as compared with any other solar tracker systems available in the market. This tracking system leads the industry standards in lowest energy consumption.

  • Special design in rotating mechanism:

With modified planetary gear drive system, a small stepper motor is used to drive a large rotating arc frame studded with many small rollers. The transmission ratio is 1:87. The smaller driven rollers are made of plastic rollers. The entire framework is easy to set up and cheap to maintain, especially for worn gears replacement. The structure is sturdily built to withstand gale force wind. This system is ideal for remote area installation.
